An unforgettable Nusa Penida day trip. Visiting the gorgeous Island of Bali from Australia is on many people’s travel itineraries. The Island of Gods has many stunning beaches, epic locations for sunsets, amazing food, and warm, happy locals who are always smiling, and ready to share their Island home with us.
Is Diamond Beach in Nusa Penida worth visiting? Diamond Beach is definitely worth visiting. It’s scenery is gorgeous. What I like the most about Diamond Beach is the different tones of blue in the water. It almost looks surreal or like a painting. Besides, the island of Nusa Penida itself is a must-visit destination during your trip in Bali.
Just trying to decide if we have enough time for Nusa Penida / if it’s worth it or if we should skip and just stay near Kuta & South Bali. It's ok. But, if you only have 5 days, stay on Bali and travel around. Plenty to see. Go eat at Bambu Inda (near Ubud).
From Kelingking Beach, head to Angel's Billabong, a spectacular rock formation known for its natural infinity pool. The path to Angel's Billabong is a little bit rough, but the view is worth it. Another spot worth visiting in Nusa Penida is Broken Beach, which is connected to Angel's Billabong.
Take photos at the Rumah Pohon Tree House – the view is worth a million dollars! Enjoy a sunset at Green Kubu – they have live music as well! Snorkel with manta rays at Manta Bay and Manta Point. Visit Tembeling Natural Pool, my favorite place in Nusa Penida. Check out Angel’s Billabong.
Follow the trail further and you’ll reach Tembeling Beach. Although it’s not the best beach on Nusa Penida, it’s worth a visit. The beach is flanked by towering cliffs and has a small stretch of sand. While the sea here can be a bit rough, the natural pools offer a safer option for swimming. Be sure to keep an eye on the currents and stay
A ll in all, Nusa Penida is definitely worth a visit! And, I can only recommend combining the trip there with the even smaller island Nusa Lembongan, which we didn’t have time to do this time
First, take note of the tides. Nusa Penida is known for its dramatic cliffs, and during high tide, some of the viewing areas may be inaccessible. Make sure to check the tide schedule in advance and plan your trip accordingly. Regardless of the tour you pick – pack plenty of sunscreen and water. There is little shade on the island, so you’ll

If you’re looking for the straight scoop, here it is – ideally, plan to stay in Nusa Penida for about 3 to 6 days. This timeframe allows you to soak in the beauty of this island without feeling rushed. You’ll have ample time to explore the top attractions and discover hidden gems. The trip to Nusa Penida, in my opinion, is not worth the hassle and safety hazards because most of your time there is spent in a car or in queues to see a relatively picturesque view, take pictures, then leave to go to the next beach-facing cliff side. I would strongly recommend not to travel with this company to get to Nusa Penida.
